This book is the official catalogue of the Karuizawa Ando Museum of Art, the first museum in Japan to exhibit only the works of Foujita Tsuguharu.

Focusing on paintings of "Girls," "Cats," and the Virgin Mary and Child, motifs that Foujita continued to paint throughout his life, the exhibition will feature precious early works, nude figures with the "milky white ground" that is synonymous with Foujita, and preliminary sketches for the frescoes of the Chapel of Our Lady of Peace in Reims, France, which he conceived in his later years. A wide range of works spanning from his early period to his later years will be on display.

In addition, new works such as oil paintings such as "Cat's Classroom," drawings, portrait photographs, and handcrafted works have been added to expand the scope of the collection. This is the definitive catalogue of the Ando Collection, featuring approximately 180 works in their entirety .
