Katsuya Watanabe (Oboe)
After graduating from Saitama Prefectural Urawa High School, he graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts. While still a student, he joined the New Japan Philharmonic. In 1990, he won the first prize in the oboe category at the Japan Wind and Percussion Competition, and also won the grand prize. In 1991, he moved to Germany and served as principal oboe for the Wuppertal Symphony Orchestra, the Karlsruhe State Opera Orchestra, and the Berlin Deutsche Oper Orchestra, and is currently the principal oboe for the Soloists Europeens Luxembourg. As a soloist, he has performed with the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, the Wuppertal Symphony Orchestra, the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra, the Gunma Symphony Orchestra, the Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra, the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, among others. From autumn 2010 to March 2013, he wrote a serial column titled "Katsuya Watanabe's Berlin Musical Journey" in the Sankei Shimbun. He is currently serializing "An Oboe Player's Holiday: Berlin Music News" in the popular "Web Heibon" website. In 2011, he served as the chief judge for the Oboe category of the 28th Japan Wind and Percussion Instrument Competition. He is a visiting professor at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music and currently lives in Berlin.

After graduating from the Hyogo Prefectural Nishinomiya High School Music Department, he graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts. He also completed his graduate studies at the same university. He received the Encouragement Award from the Selection Committee of the 5th Matsukata Hall Music Award. He was sent by his university to study at the University of the Arts Bremen. He won the Accompaniment Award at the Settsu Music Festival in 2002. He also won the New National She has worked as a korepetitor at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre, Biwako Hall, Kansai Nikikai, etc. After working at the Regensburg Opera House and the Dortmund Opera House in Germany, she will perform with the world's top singers as an exclusive korepetitor at the Berlin State Opera, the highest level of korepetitor, from 2022. The two are layered on top of each other.
